Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On July 23, 2007, Thomas G. Auchincloss, Jr., informed the Company that he intends to resign from his positions as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development, and Treasurer of the Company for personal reasons. His resignation will be effective as of August 10, 2007. Mr. Auchincloss will continue to be employed by Metabolix to progress ongoing business development projects, to assist with the transition, and to handle other matters. The Company plans to begin a search for Mr. Auchincloss’s successor immediately.
