Metabolix, Inc. to Present at Thomas Weisel Partners Alternative Energy Conference

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jun 11, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Metabolix, Inc. (NASDAQ: MBLX), a bioscience company focused on developing clean, sustainable solutions for the world's needs for plastics, chemicals and energy, today announced that it will be presenting at the Thomas Weisel Partners Alternative Energy Conference taking place June 12, 2008 in New York City.

Richard Eno, the Company's President & Chief Executive Officer will be presenting on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 2:40 p.m. Mr. Eno will be accompanied by Oliver Peoples, PhD, the company's Co-Founder and Chief scientific Officer. During his presentation, Mr. Eno will be discussing the Company's value proposition, branding initiatives, customer development pipeline and commercialization plans for Mirel(TM). He will further discuss the unique advantages of Mirel(TM) that drive the value proposition, including; it is a biobased plastic that combines the broad functionality and performance of petroleum based plastics with the broadest spectrum of biodegradability. Mirel(TM) provides an excellent alternative to traditional, petroleum-based plastics. Mr. Eno will also further discuss the targets for the Company's longer term platforms.
